Welcome to the 4th Webinar for this Season on Lake Lucerne Region.

Lucerne, situated on the picturesque Lake Lucerne, is embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. Thanks to its attractions, its souvenir and watch shops, the beautiful lakeside setting and the nearby excursion mountains of the Rigi, Pilatus and Stanserhorn, the town is a destination for many travel groups and individuals on their journey through Switzerland. Complete with gable paintings, the covered, medieval Chapel Bridge forms the centerpiece of Lucerne’s townscape and is considered to be one of the oldest, covered wooden bridges in Europe.

Lucerne is the ideal starting point for many excursions to the highlights of central Switzerland. A trip up Lucerne’s house mountain, the Pilatus, is a must. The Golden Roundtrip excursion takes you there by traveling first by boat from Lucerne, ascent the mountain by the world’s steepest rack-and-pinion railway and descent after enjoying the amazing view by the ‘Dragon Ride’ panorama gondola.

The flotilla of the lake Lucerne Navigation Company includes five nostalgic paddle steamers and 15 elegant salon motor vessels show, which cruise on 38 km of waterways past the most beautiful scenery of Central Switzerland. From April to August an Indian Dinner cruise operates three times per week.
